PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wackford Squeers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fat Tire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wackford Squeers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fat Tire!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Squeers fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Tire on the side of the head.
Tire tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Squeers swivels and escapes.
Squeers stuffs the takedown.
Squeers displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tire.
Wackford Squeers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fat Tire.
Squeers cracks Tire with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Tire shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Horrible takedown attempt by Tire or perhaps it was just good defense by Squeers, which made it look bad.
Squeers thuds a left hand into Tire's body.

and Squeers counters by clinching up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tire tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Tire is looking for a takedown.
Squeers scores with a shoulder strike.
Squeers lands with a short punch from the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tire is looking to control Squeers's arms but Squeers gets an underhook and turns him. Now Tire has his back to the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Squeers stalling.
Squeers definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Squeers lands a right hand that snaps the head of Tire backwards.
A short right from Squeers on the inside.
Squeers pushes Tire back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Squeers.
Tire has a couple of punches blocked by Squeers.
Squeers lands a left hand that snaps the head of Tire backwards.
The referee is keeping an eye on Squeers - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Squeers prevents a body shot from Tire.
Tire swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Squeers lands a nice uppercut.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Squeers creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Tire pressing his opponent against the cage.
Tire wants to take the fight to the mat but Squeers manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Tire throws a knee to the head but misses.
Squeers lands a left hand.
Squeers pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Tire is rocked!

Tire is still on wobbly legs! Can Squeers finish him?

Squeers lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Tire to his knees! Squeers keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

After winning the bout, Wackford Squeers thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
