Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas White! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Stevens! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevens darts in looking for a takedown but White gets double underhooks and turns Stevens into the cage. White seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Stevens shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and White counters with a nice uppercut. Mike Stevens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stevens tries for a takedown but White circles away easily and White connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Douglas White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Stevens. Stevens doesn't succeed with the takedown and White counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. White closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. White lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. White lands a right hand that snaps the head of Stevens backwards. Stevens has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. White avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. White lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. White stops a takedown attempt from Stevens.

That's one minute gone in the round. Stevens wants a takedown but no success here.
White stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Stevens looks winded! A right hook to the body lands for White.
White's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. White scores with a hook to the body. Stevens takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. White lands a leg kick that knocks Stevens off balance momentarily. A punch combination from White misses. White moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. A decent looking cross lands there for White. White moves into the clinch. Stevens changes levels and goes for a takedown here. White fights it off and pushes away nicely.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! White keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's two minutes gone in the round. White gets in close and instigates a clinch. White scores with a shot to the side of Stevens's head. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as White takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. White presses Stevens against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. White lands a hook that snaps the head of Stevens backwards. Stevens is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but White is defending well. White misses with an elbow strike.
Stevens changes levels and goes for a takedown here. White fights it off and pushes away nicely.
White throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White gets in close and instigates a clinch. White throws an elbow that misses.
White throws an elbow but it misses.
White breaks from the clinch.
Stevens takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Stevens looks up at the clock. Bad move! White lands a right hand from hell, dropping Stevens. White pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
