Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ryan Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Kalou Frigi!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frigi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Johnson avoids it really well and circles away.
Frigi looks for a takedown but Johnson sprawls well.
Johnson is looking for a counter combo.
Johnson moves into the clinch.
Frigi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Johnson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Johnson punishes Frigi's body with a nice straight punch.
Frigi closes the distance and clinches.
Frigi manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Johnson is trying to push Frigi away but Frigi has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Frigi tries for a takedown but Johnson manages to get underhooks.
Ryan Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kalou Frigi.
Frigi jumps guard but Johnson stands there with Frigi around his waist. Frigi gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Johnson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nice body kick there by Johnson.
Johnson throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Kalou Frigi has been cut.
Frigi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Johnson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Johnson misses with an attempted mid kick.
Frigi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Frigi off to one side.
Johnson throws a head kick that misses.
Johnson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
A lazy body kick from Johnson
and Frigi counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Frigi looks winded!
Johnson has one foot on Frigi's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Johnson lands a head kick!
Frigi throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Frigi moves out of range of the leg kick from Johnson.
Johnson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Johnson looks to land a combination. Frigi sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Ryan Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson lands with a nice body punch.

Johnson clinches up with Frigi and pushes him back against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Frigi - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Frigi is looking to take this one to the mat.
Frigi's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Johnson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Johnson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Frigi is rocked!
Johnson feints and as Frigi raises his hands in defense, Johnson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Frigi is still in real trouble! Can Johnson finish him?
Johnson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Johnson Throws a clean left jab. Johnson Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Frigi's chin! Frigi crumbles to the ground and Johnson follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Johnson!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ryan Johnson!
In his post fight interview, Ryan Johnson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
