Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Igor Rottwel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Date (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rottwel comes into the arena with Land of the Free blaring out of the sound system. Lee Date has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Igor Rottwel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lee Date! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rottwel misses with a takedown attempt and Date counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Date closes the distance and pushes Rottwel back into the ropes. Rottwel is trying to pull guard but Date turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch. Date makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Date lands a left hand that snaps the head of Rottwel backwards. Rottwel wants to take the fight to the mat but Date manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Igor Rottwel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Date lands with a short shot to the head. Rottwel takes a shot to the head. Rottwel is trying to stall.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Date lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Date lands a body punch in the clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Date takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Rottwel tries to pull guard but Date forces him back to his feet, against the ropes.
That's one minute gone in the round. A short uppercut from Date. Rottwel wants to take the fight to the mat but Date manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Date lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Rottwel definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Still in the clinch, Date scores with a nice short uppercut. Date makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Rottwel takes a shot to the head. Still in the clinch, Date scores with a nice short uppercut. Date scores with a shot to the side of Rottwel's head. A short left from Date.
Rottwel is rocked! Date makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Oh Rottwel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Date lands a big right hand that drops Rottwel! The killer instinct kicks in and Date finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Date!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lee Date! Lee Date took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title. Igor Rottwel was interviewed post fight and said 'Good fight of my opponent'.
