1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Han Mayahasoo! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Anthony Taglia and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lovelair tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mayahasoo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Lovelair tries to clinch up but Mayahasoo circles away and keeps his distance. Mayahasoo with the counter takedown but Lovelair avoids it easily. Disyphlan Lovelair seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lovelair tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mayahasoo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mayahasoo changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Mayahasoo swats away the attempt to clinch by Lovelair. Lovelair tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mayahasoo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Lovelair is looking to clinch but Mayahasoo is avoiding it.
Mayahasoo swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Mayahasoo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Lovelair fails in his attempt to clinch. Lovelair bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Mayahasoo digs a good body shot into Lovelair's ribs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lovelair is looking to clinch. Mayahasoo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lovelair sprawls well. Lovelair wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mayahasoo gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mayahasoo jabs at Lovelair's body. Lovelair tries to clinch but Mayahasoo moves out of range. Mayahasoo loads up on a big right hand but Lovelair slips the punch. Lovelair tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mayahasoo swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lovelair wants to clinch up but Mayahasoo keeps it at a distance. Lovelair tries to clinch and Mayahasoo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Mayahasoo is taking a breather. Lovelair says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Mayahasoo working Lovelair over with strikes.
It looks like Disyphlan Lovelair has been cut. Mayahasoo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Mayahasoo is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mayahasoo in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Lovelair tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Mayahasoo!
