Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keith Horton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and doro fen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Horton comes to the cage accompanied by Dire Straits - Walk Of Life. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keith Horton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, doro fen!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from fen.
fen shoots for a takedown but Horton saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
fen misses with a takedown attempt - Horton sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Keith Horton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of doro fen.

fen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Horton sneaks back into half guard.
Horton is trying to control but can't.
fen missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

fen is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Horton sees it coming and defends easily.

The fighters are battling for position here. Horton manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
fen is looking to work some ground and pound but Horton has wrist control.

Horton closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Horton lands in his opponent's guard.

Horton is in close to fen's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Horton is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Horton seems to be working for a kimura but fen defends the submission attempt.

Horton drops an elbow to the side of fen's head.
fen wants to improve his position but Horton is controlling well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Horton decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Horton takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

fen on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
fen is trying to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Nice defenses there by fen.

fen gets caught flat footed, as Horton shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

and Horton counters with a shoot takedown. fen fights it but they end up in guard.
fen wants to sweep but no luck.
fen trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

fen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Horton controls the pace.
fen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
fen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Horton lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Horton is working fen over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Horton looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
fen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Horton's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Horton's back!
Keith Horton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

fen is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Horton is defending well though. fen let's go of the attempt for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Horton connects with a nice short shot to fen's temple.

fen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Horton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Horton stands up over fen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

fen wants to improve his position but instead Horton has moved into half guard.
fen is staying active underneath Horton, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keith Horton dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Horton counters with a nice double leg into side control. fen won't be happy with that.
fen is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Horton cracks fen with a big right hand but fen just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
fen takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Horton wants to control but fen is keeping him busy.
fen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
fen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Horton wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Horton is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. fen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
fen is looking for a sweep.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
