Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shin Dong Hyuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robledo Puch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Puch has chosen Breathe as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
31 - 12 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shin Dong Hyuk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
41 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Robledo Puch! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puch moves out of range of the strikes. Dong Hyuk ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Dong Hyuk looks to score with a jab to the body but Puch is just out of range. We've been hearing reports that Dong Hyuk has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Puch digs a good hook to Dong Hyuk's body.
Dong Hyuk shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Puch manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Puch looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Dong Hyuk passes into half guard.
Puch is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dong Hyuk pulls his head out easily. Dong Hyuk is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Puch defends it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Puch trying to control but Dong Hyuk postures up.
Dong Hyuk is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Puch is just riding it out for now. Dong Hyuk eventually gives up the hold.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dong Hyuk seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Puch does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Puch doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dong Hyuk. Puch wants to improve his position but Dong Hyuk is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Dong Hyuk is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Puch wants to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Puch is not content to let Dong Hyuk control the position. Puch is trying to maintain the position but Dong Hyuk is very close to passing his half guard. Puch is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dong Hyuk pulls his head out easily. The fighters roll with the hold and Puch manages to kick Dong Hyuk off! Dong Hyuk jumps back into Puch's guard. Dong Hyuk trying to control the position from guard on top but Puch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dong Hyuk postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The fighters are battling for position here. Puch manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Puch wants to sweep but no luck. Dong Hyuk trying to control but Puch is working from the bottom. Puch is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Puch has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dong Hyuk can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Dong Hyuk wants to pass the guard but Puch is keeping the position. Puch escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dong Hyuk gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Puch keeping moving, preventing Dong Hyuk from controlling successfully. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dong Hyuk takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Dong Hyuk lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Dong Hyuk fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Puch manages to avoid it. Puch shoots in for a double leg but Dong Hyuk sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Puch misses the shot to the body. Dong Hyuk is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Dong Hyuk throws a leg kick which misses Puch's front leg but catches the back leg as Puch tries to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Puch misses with a right hand and Dong Hyuk counters with a three punch combo that has Puch backing up. Puch nods at Dong Hyuk to acknowledge the strikes. Dong Hyuk lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Dong Hyuk fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Puch checks it well. Puch throws a looping overhand right but Dong Hyuk ducks down to avoid it. Dong Hyuk slips a jab from Puch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dong Hyuk tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Dong Hyuk is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Puch can do to turn this around? Puch lands a right hook to the body.
Dong Hyuk throws a low kick but Puch avoids it. Puch looks to land a left hand but Dong Hyuk moved out of range nicely. Dong Hyuk seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Dong Hyuk throws a quick inside leg kick. Dong Hyuk throws a quick inside leg kick. Dong Hyuk throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Puch stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Dong Hyuk takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. A low kick from Dong Hyuk is predictable there and Puch counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dong Hyuk looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Puch working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Puch scoring with strikes to the body and head. Dong Hyuk is looking for a sweep. Puch is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Puch sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dong Hyuk's guard. Puch is pressing down on Dong Hyuk's thigh, looking to free his foot. Robledo Puch showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Puch lands a nice shot that snaps Dong Hyuk's head back.

Dong Hyuk fires out a quick counter leg kick but Puch just manages to avoid it. Dong Hyuk is looking to score with low kicks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dong Hyuk lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Dong Hyuk uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Puch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Puch misses the shot to the body. Dong Hyuk feinted there with a counter leg kick. Dong Hyuk is looking to wear down Puch with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Dong Hyuk swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Puch takes a swing at Dong Hyuk's ribcage but misses. Shin Dong Hyuk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Puch connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Dong Hyuk slips a jab and a cross from Puch.
Puch's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Dong Hyuk swings for the body but Puch moves out of range.

Puch misses with a hook. Dong Hyuk ducked under it nicely. Dong Hyuk lands a jab to the nose. Puch takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Nice uppercut there from Dong Hyuk. That kick from Dong Hyuk tenderised Puch's leg. Puch is trying to keep his angry face on. Dong Hyuk dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Puch. That did some damage!

Dong Hyuk throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Puch counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dong Hyuk won't be happy with that. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dong Hyuk can't do much from the bottom here. Puch tries to advance to mount but can't. Dong Hyuk manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Dong Hyuk is working for a submission of some sort.

And that's the end of the fight! Robledo Puch comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Puch has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
