Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Craig Clendennon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pako Laine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clendennon comes to the cage accompanied by LoFidelity Allstars - Battleflag. Laine is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Nikke Ankara - Värifilmi. Pako Laine told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pako Laine!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Laine drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Clendennon is looking to regain half guard here but Laine keeps moving and retains side control.

Laine is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Clendennon has escaped the position, nice work there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clendennon is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The ground and pound from Laine seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Clendennon is trying to control Laine's posture but Laine avoids it.
Clendennon is trying to escape the position but Laine is controlling the position.

Laine wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Clendennon, who protects the arm well.

Laine is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Clendennon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Laine wants to control but Clendennon is keeping him busy.

Clendennon tries to bench press Laine off him but Laine keeps the position.

Laine is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Clendennon is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Laine takes a little break here. Clendennon wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Laine tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Laine has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Laine is trying to work for a kimura but Clendennon is defending well.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

I was talking to Clendennon's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Clendennon is struggling to control the position.
Laine is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Clendennon pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Clendennon blocks a body shot from Laine.
Laine lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Clendennon backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Clendennon lands with a short head shot on the inside.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Laine creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Laine tries to work over Clendennon's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Laine has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Laine misses with a hook from the clinch.

Laine manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Laine looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Clendennon is defending well. Laine quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Clendennon has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Laine celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Pako Laine!
Pako Laine spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
The defeated Craig Clendennon had this to say: 'Losing's like Country music- they both suck.'.
