Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stella Artois (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David McSwizzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David McSwizzer is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stella Artois!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, David McSwizzer!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Artois gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and McSwizzer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Artois shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. McSwizzer is trying to defend but Artois finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McSwizzer can do anything to dispel that myth.

Artois is trying to work for a kimura but McSwizzer is defending well.
McSwizzer keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

Artois is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McSwizzer defends it well.

Artois drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McSwizzer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Artois has McSwizzer in his guard.

Artois pulls McSwizzer in close to prevent any damage.
Artois wants to get back to his feet but McSwizzer is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Artois shoots in looking for a takedown. McSwizzer tries to sprawl out of it but Artois keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McSwizzer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McSwizzer lands a really nice looking cross but Artois seems unphased.
Artois tries to score a power double leg takedown but McSwizzer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Artois somewhat.
McSwizzer's coach down at Harambe Remembrance Hall was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on McSwizzer's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

We've been hearing good reports from Artois's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Artois is looking for a kimura but McSwizzer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Artois to get the leverage.

That was a close second round but I would say that Stella Artois will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


McSwizzer is trying hard to land a takedown here. Artois sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Artois shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Artois showed some decent athleticism there.
McSwizzer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Artois. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
McSwizzer wants to stand up but Artois is controlling him.

Artois throws a right hand that McSwizzer ducks under and follows up with a left that McSwizzer also avoids with ease.
Nice takedown defense from McSwizzer. No joy for Artois on that attempt.
McSwizzer is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
McSwizzer scores with a sloppy right hand. Artois should have avoided that one.
Artois will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

McSwizzer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
McSwizzer is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

I would just about give that final round to David McSwizzer.
