Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Klay Montez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Page (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Klay Montez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Danny Page!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Page as he jumps to the side.
Montez takes one on the button.


It looks like Klay Montez has been cut.
Montez on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Montez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Page to counter with a crisp jab.
Good standup being displayed there by Page as he connects with a hook.
Page tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Montez paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Montez looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Page missing with a left hand there. Montez was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Montez is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Page.

The fight stays on the outside here - Page looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Montez has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA LA Elite in the buildup to the fight.
Page tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Page has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Page lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Page cracks Montez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

enabling Page to counter with a crisp jab.

Page feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Montez sprawling to the canvas! Montez rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Page finish him?!

Page throws a head kick but Montez moves out of range.
Page throws a big shot that misses.

Montez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Page as he jumps to the side.
Montez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Page pinned against the cage. Page gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Montez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Page feints a jab promting Montez to slip. Page then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Montez slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Page throws a monster overhand right that drops Montez! Page follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
