Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gloire Iweala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daemon Meshugga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gloire Iweala!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daemon Meshugga!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iweala swats away the attempt to clinch by Meshugga.
Iweala is looking for a counter combo.
Meshugga looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Meshugga shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Iweala decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Meshugga trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Meshugga's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Meshugga is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Iweala is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Meshugga has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Meshugga slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Meshugga is looking for a sweep. Iweala is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Iweala is trying to control the action in half guard but Meshugga is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Meshugga is trying to stand back up but Iweala is controlling him
Meshugga has his hands clasped together around Iweala's back. He's all about the action.
Iweala working Meshugga over with strikes.
Meshugga is concentrating on defense, preventing Iweala from advancing position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Iweala throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Meshugga flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Meshugga is trying to stand back up but Iweala is controlling him
Still in half guard, Iweala seems content to control.
Meshugga is trying to control but can't.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Iweala content to control rather than advance.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Iweala shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Meshugga napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Meshugga is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Iweala tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Iweala has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Meshugga is trying to get back to half guard.
Iweala moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Meshugga is not content to let Iweala control the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Meshugga tries to escape but Iweala is in control.
Meshugga prevents Iweala from moving into mount.
Iweala has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Iweala landing strikes, looking to finish!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Iweala looking to control but Meshugga is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Meshugga is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gloire Iweala dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Meshugga clinches.

Iweala gets control of Meshugga's arms and successfully pulls guard. Iweala will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Meshugga tries to stand but Iweala is controlling from the bottom.
Iweala is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Meshugga can do to turn this around?

Meshugga wanted to stand there but Iweala had control of the position.
Iweala tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Meshugga would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Meshugga stuffs the takedown.
Iweala swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Meshugga swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Iweala throws a big counter combination but Meshugga scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Meshugga tries for a takedown but Iweala sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Meshugga shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Iweala pinned against the cage. Iweala gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Iweala falls off balance throwing a combination
and Meshugga counters with a three punch combo that has Iweala backing up. Iweala nods at Meshugga to acknowledge the strikes.
Gloire Iweala is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Iweala fails with a takedown attempt.
Iweala sets himself, and Meshugga steps forward looking for the clinch! Iweala avoids it this time.

Iweala gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Iweala drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Meshugga gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gloire Iweala. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Iweala is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Meshugga breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Iweala is looking to clinch but Meshugga is avoiding it.
Meshugga shoots in for a takedown but Iweala shows good takedown defense.
Iweala tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Meshugga manages to circle out of the way.
Meshugga bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Meshugga, right into the meat.
Iweala darts in looking for a takedown but Meshugga gets double underhooks and turns Iweala into the cage.
Meshugga slaps away a takedown attempt from Iweala, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Meshugga doesn't manage to clinch there - Iweala circles away.

Iweala throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Meshugga's waist but Meshugga gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Iweala off to one side.
No joy there for Iweala, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Meshugga fails with a takedown attempt.

Meshugga rushes Iweala and presses him up against the cage.
A bit of stalling here from Meshugga.
Iweala blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Meshugga drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Iweala gets the underhooks and prevents it.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daemon Meshugga showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Iweala has Meshugga up against the cage in a clinch.
Meshugga tries to pull guard but Iweala holds him up against the cage and eventually Meshugga drops back down to his feet.

Meshugga tries to throw a body punch but Iweala avoids it by throwing Meshugga back against the cage.

Meshugga unloads a knee to the mid-section. Iweala lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Meshugga manages to break the clinch.
Meshugga will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Meshugga fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Daemon Meshugga seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Meshugga fails to land the takedown.
Meshugga takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Meshugga is defended easily by Iweala.

Meshugga shoots for a takedown but Iweala saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Iweala appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Meshugga closes the distance and clinches up with Iweala, looking for a takedown. Meshugga pushes Iweala against the cage but Iweala circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Iweala closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Meshugga's guard.
Iweala stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Meshugga swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Meshugga is trying to keep Iweala in close.
Iweala is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Meshugga is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Iweala loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Meshugga has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Iweala has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Iweala is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Meshugga is trying to break free.

Meshugga ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Meshugga no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Iweala trying to control but Meshugga is working from the bottom.

Meshugga working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Iweala doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Iweala manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Iweala stands up from Meshugga's guard - Iweala perhaps looking for a knockout.

Iweala closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Iweala thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Meshugga's head.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gloire Iweala.
I think Iweala has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
