The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffiths scores with a takedown into Dzhumagaliev's guard.
Griffiths drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Griffiths jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Griffiths advances position into side control!
Dzhumagaliev tries to bench press Griffiths off him but Griffiths keeps the position.
Griffiths is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dzhumagaliev is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Griffiths thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Griffiths trying to control the position but Dzhumagaliev is working away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Griffiths is working to tighten his grip on Dzhumagaliev's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Dzhumagaliev has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Griffiths is really squeezing tight and eventually Dzhumagaliev passes out! Griffiths breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
