The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Nixon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ford lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Nixon has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Nixon and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Some bone on bone action there as Ford checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Ford tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Nixon is able to avoid easily.
Ford cracks Nixon with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Nixon clinches up with Ford and pushes him back against the cage.

Ford throws a series of punches but Nixon avoids them all with ease.

Ford lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ford rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nixon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ford misses with a looping left.
Nixon lands a slapping body shot.
Oooooh!!! Nixon has knocked Ford down with a huge combo! Nixon steps away and waves a wobbly Ford back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Ford is still on wobbly legs! Can Nixon finish him?
Nixon is stalking Ford. Ford circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Nixon, and it's lights out! Ford really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Evil Nixon!
A relieved looking Evil Nixon thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
