Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Crose McCringe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bee Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Crose McCringe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bee Jay! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jorge Garcia and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jay tries to score with a low kick but McCringe moves his leg out of the way. Jay lands a nice looking body kick. Jay lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. A swing and a miss from McCringe. McCringe looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. McCringe is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jay is just riding it out for now. McCringe eventually gives up the hold. McCringe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jay is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McCringe prevents Jay from improving his position. McCringe trying to control the action but Jay is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCringe is really struggling to control Jay but he's trying to hold on to the position. Jay is looking for a sweep. McCringe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Jay manages to escape and get back to his feet! Jay misses with an uppercut. McCringe misses with a takedown attempt - Jay sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jay defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McCringe. The fight moves into the clinch position. Jay utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. McCringe changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jay fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Crose McCringe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice defenses there by McCringe. Jay clinches. A right hand to the body from Jay.
McCringe has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jay after a bit of a struggle. McCringe is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Jay is defending well. Jay breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jay has taken the fight to the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McCringe goes for a takedown attempt but Jay pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jay looks to land a right hand but McCringe moved out of range. Jay stuffs the takedown. Jay defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McCringe. Jay gets caught napping as McCringe dives in and scores a takedown. Jay manages to retain guard. Jay is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. McCringe presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Jay gets underhooks to prevent McCringe's takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jay breaks from the clinch.
A thudding body kick lands there by Jay!
Jay swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jay looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Jay works his way into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McCringe is trying to escape the position but Jay is controlling the position. Jay is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. McCringe looks calm but he's in trouble here. Jay gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. McCringe is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Jay lets go of the hold and McCringe can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bee Jay! A determined Bee Jay didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
