Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Borsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harold Shermann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shermann has chosen Nirvana - Dumb as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ron Borsen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Harold Shermann! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shermann shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Borsen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Borsen is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Shermann presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Shermann should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Shermann is trying to break the clinch but Borsen has him pressed against the cage. Shermann has clasped his hands together around Borsen's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Borsen is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Borsen tries to roll over but Shermann keeps him under control. Shermann is looking to take a break and control but Borsen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Shermann tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Shermann seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Borsen moves into full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Borsen trying to strike off his back.
Shermann preventing the sweep. Shermann stays in close to Borsen's body and controls the position. Shermann throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Borsen works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Shermann stopping the sweep attempt from Borsen. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Shermann has eaten all the pies! Borsen trying to control the position.
Shermann tries to stand but Borsen is controlling from the bottom. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Shermann is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Shermann looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shermann wants to stand up but Borsen is controlling the position.
Shermann takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Shermann postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Borsen to stand up. Shermann keeps the fight on the outside. Shermann shoots in but no luck this time. Borsen lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Borsen. Shermann scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Borsen is breathing heavily. Check out the look on Shermann's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shermann is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Borsen has escaped the position, nice work there. Shermann is trying to get an arm triangle but Borsen is defending well. Shermann tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Borsen parries the strikes from Shermann easily there. Shermann is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Borsen to escape.
Shermann misses with the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Borsen tries to bench press Shermann off him but Shermann keeps the position. Shermann wants to lay and pray for a moment but Borsen keeps working. Borsen wants to control but Shermann postures up. Shermann tries to move to mount but Borsen blocks the move with his legs. Shermann just content to control the position. Shermann tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Shermann has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Borsen takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Harold Shermann will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Shermann fails to land the takedown. Borsen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Shermann manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Shermann shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Shermann drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Borsen explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Shermann is defended easily by Borsen. Ron Borsen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harold Shermann. Borsen throws a right and a left that Shermann avoids nicely. And Shermann tries to counter it with a takedown but Borsen pushes his down on his head and steps out. Borsen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Shermann wriggles free and stands up. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Shermann is breathing heavily. A head kick by Borsen misses and Shermann counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Shermann.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shermann trying to control but Borsen is working from the bottom. Borsen tries to strike from the bottom.
Shermann is looking to work some ground and pound but Borsen has wrist control. Shermann wants to control from the top but Borsen keeps moving. Borsen has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Shermann postures up and lands a big shot to Borsen's brow. Shermann is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Shermann is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Shermann cracks Borsen with a solid left hand. Borsen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Shermann is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Shermann is working Borsen over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Shermann is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Shermann landing with the ground and pound. Borsen looking for subs off his back but Shermann has passed one foot through into half guard.

Shermann looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Borsen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Shermann seems to be looking for submissions.

Harold Shermann showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Shermann gets the takedown into side control. Borsen sneaks back into half guard. Shermann looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Borsen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Shermann is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Shermann gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Shermann's coach down at ReVoLuT!oN !sL@nD GYM was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Shermann's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shermann avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Borsen, as that shot connected.
Borsen takes a swing at Shermann's ribcage but misses. Shermann feints the counter takedown. Harold Shermann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Borsen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Borsen throws a quick counter head kick but Shermann was just out of range. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shermann changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Borsen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Shermann prevents Borsen from escaping the position. Borsen gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Shermann in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Shermann has hold of Borsen's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Borsen manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Borsen is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Borsen wants to hold on but Shermann pushes him away. Shermann has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Shermann lands a couple of good shots and Borsen has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Shermann is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Borsen has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. What can Borsen do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Shermann lands with a hammerfist to the side of Borsen's head. Harold Shermann is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Shermann is not going to allow Borsen to sit and survive in this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shermann punishes Borsen with strikes from the back mount. Borsen is in bad spot here.
Can Borsen hold on?! Shermann is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Shermann is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Borsen is defending well though. Shermann let's go of the attempt for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Borsen is trying to remain composed but Shermann is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Borsen is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shermann is punishing Borsen with some ground and pound. Ron Borsen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
And that's the end of the fight! Harold Shermann comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Shermann winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
