The crowd seem to be enjoying Chimaera's choice of entrance music: The Vikings warrior spirit. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chimaera tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Saukko paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Saukko misses with a body punch
and Chimaera counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Saukko tries a head kick but it misses.
Chimaera buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Saukko throws a lazy uppercut
and Chimaera counters with a nice low kick that buckles Saukko's knee momentarily.
Chimaera misses with a wild body shot.
Saukko tries a head kick but it misses.
No joy there for Saukko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

As Saukko backs off Chimaera throws a huge counter combo but Saukko manages to avoid it all.
Chimaera throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Chimaera is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Chimaera tries to clinch there but Saukko circles away.
Per Saukko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chimaera moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Chimaera unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Saukko! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Chimaera is unloading with more strikes now! Saukko drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). The Chimaera!
