Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between De Bruyne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Star Dust (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruyne comes to the cage accompanied by Busta Rhymes - Other Side Of The Road . Dust has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. De Bruyne is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Star Dust!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bruyne clinches up against the cage.
We've been hearing reports that Bruyne has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Dust has a couple of punches blocked by Bruyne.

Star Dust seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bruyne feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Dusts jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bruyne tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dust manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Dust takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Bruyne fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Dust closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bruyne quickly recovers to half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
You can see the frustration on Bruyne's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Bruyne lands with a hook. Dust tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Dust loads up on a big right hand but Bruyne slips the punch.
Dust throws a hook to the side of Bruyne's head but Bruyne sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Bruyne seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Bruyne shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dust sprawls well. Dust wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bruyne gets slowly back to his feet.
Star Dust seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Dust gets tackled into the cage by Bruyne. Bruyne maintains the clinch.
Bruyne tries a body shot but Dust blocks it.

Bruyne throws a wild body kick that Dust sees coming a mile off.
Dust was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Dust throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
It looked like Bruyne was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Dust.
Bruyne throws a jab but it's blocked by Dust.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Dust! But no joy.
Dust throws a nice outside leg kick.
A left lands for Dust.
Dust works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
De Bruyne has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Dust throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A thudding body kick lands there by Dust!

Bruyne closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to De Bruyne.
I think Dust has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
