Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Andersson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Allen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Andersson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Allen!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Allen darts in and clinches Andersson up against the cage.
Andersson managing to block the knees to the body from Allen.
Allen lands with a short head shot on the inside.

and Allen counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Allen.

Andersson is trying to drag Allen to the mat but Allen just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Andersson has Allen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Allen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

and Andersson counters with a three punch combo that has Allen backing up. Allen nods at Andersson to acknowledge the strikes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Andersson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Andersson is looking to take a break and control but Allen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Andersson is working Allen over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Andersson is looking for a sweep. Allen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Allen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Andersson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Allen lands a nice elbow.

Allen wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Allen tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and Andersson counters with a shoot takedown. Allen fights it but they end up in guard.

Allen had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Andersson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Allen Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Andersson's back instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Andersson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Allen wants to control but Andersson is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Allen has had enough of the clinch but Andersson keeps him there for the moment.
Allen is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Andersson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
