Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Cerrone!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Earl Jack!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cerrone misses the jab.
Cerrone lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Nice shot lands for Cerrone.


It looks like Earl Jack has been cut.

Cerrone moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Jack goes down! Can Cerrone finish him!?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cerrone drops back looking for a leg! Jack is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jack manages to kick Cerrone off! Cerrone jumps back into Jack's guard.

Jack has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cerrone can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jack really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cerrone. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jack is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cerrone is aware though and is defending well.

Cerrone avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Cerrone is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Jack has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cerrone can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've been hearing good reports from Cerrone's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Jack looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Cerrone passes into half guard.

Cerrone is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Cerrone is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jack defends it well.

Jack looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Cerrone pushes past his half guard into mount!

Cerrone working for a submission but Jack is keeping him at bay.
Jack tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cerrone is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Cerrone extends the arm and Jack is forced to tap!

David Cerrone seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
In defeat, Earl Jack stepped up to the mic, saying 'Well I suck. I guess its back to the drawing board now'.
