Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buck Rowland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Rashnovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Buck Rowland! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Rashnovski! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rashnovski shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rashnovski showed some decent athleticism there. Rowland keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Rashnovski looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Rowland flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Rashnovski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rowland keeps working. Rowland might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rashnovski throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Rowland to regain full guard. Rowland being controlled here, momentarily. Rowland utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Rashnovski must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Rowland pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Rashnovski. Rashnovski trying to control the action but Rowland is working from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Rowland's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rashnovski is trying to get an arm triangle but Rowland is defending well. Rashnovski controlling the position from side mount. Rashnovski thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rashnovski is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Rashnovski wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rowland, who protects the arm well. Rashnovski decides to stand back up. Rashnovski steps back and let's Rowland get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rashnovski moves out of range of the body kick. Rashnovski lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Rashnovski shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rowland napping and manages to drive through into side control! Rashnovski tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Rashnovski is looking to take a break and control but Rowland is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Rashnovski swings around for an armbar but Rowland sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Rashnovski's guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rowland postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Rowland trying to control the position from guard on top but Rashnovski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ivan Rashnovski dominated that round. That's time! Rowland's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Rowland tries to counter by clinching up but Rashnovski breaks away and moves out of range. The fight moves into the clinch position. Rowland tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Rashnovski. Rashnovski has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Rowland's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rowland tries to keep at a distance but Rashnovski has taken the fight into the clinch. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Rowland breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ivan Rashnovski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rashnovski closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rowland's guard. Rashnovski trying to control the position from guard on top but Rowland is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rowland has control of Rashnovski's left arm, preventing Rashnovski from doing any damage.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rashnovski chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A head kick misses from Rowland. Rashnovski closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Rashnovski tries to advance to mount but Rowland instead regains half guard. Rashnovski is trying to control the action in half guard but Rowland is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Rashnovski wants to advance to full mount but Rowland doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Rowland really is a fat lump. Rowland has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rashnovski engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Rashnovski trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rashnovski tries to land a sweep but no joy. Rowland throws a big right hand that misses. Rashnovski looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rashnovski takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Rowland throwing strikes but missing. Rowland trying to control the position from guard on top but Rashnovski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rashnovski tries to close the distance and clinch but Rowland swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rashnovski scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Rashnovski stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Rashnovski rushes Rowland and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rowland is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Rashnovski to keep the fight standing. Rowland fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Rashnovski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rowland tries to clinch but Rashnovski moves out of range. Rashnovski tries to clinch up but Rowland circles away and keeps his distance. Rashnovski closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rowland's guard. Rowland pushes Rashnovski off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Rashnovski manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Rowland on his heels. He'll look to pass Rowland's guard now, I'm sure. Rashnovski working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Rowland's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rashnovski trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Rowland not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rashnovski distracts Rowland with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Rashnovski looking to sit in guard and control but Rowland gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rashnovski wants to sweep but no luck. Rashnovski trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Rashnovski uses the cage to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Ivan Rashnovski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rashnovski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
