Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brian Zeuos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Drew Wood! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Bart Greer and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Zeuos as Wood shoots in. Wood fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wood looks for a takedown but Zeuos sprawls well. Zeuos throws a head kick but Wood moves out of range.
Zeuos shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wood pinned against the cage. Wood gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Wood clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wood tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Brian Zeuos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Drew Wood. Zeuos has Wood pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wood manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Wood keeps control of Zeuos as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Wood jumps guard and drags Zeuos to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Wood avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Wood throws his legs up looking for a submission but Zeuos uses it to pass to side control.
Zeuos taking a breather here. Zeuos tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wood is looking to regain half guard here but Zeuos keeps moving and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zeuos wants to stand but Wood has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard. Zeuos avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Wood looking for a sweep. Not yet Wood, not yet. Wood working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Zeuos.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wood keeping moving, preventing Zeuos from controlling successfully. Zeuos preventing the sweep. Wood manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Zeuos manages to get himself to full guard.
Zeuos has control of Wood's left arm, preventing Wood from doing any damage. We've been hearing good reports from Zeuos's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Wood must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Wood stands up out of Zeuos's guard for a moment - Zeuos manages to land a nice upkick. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Zeuos is trying to control the position but Wood postures up. Zeuos working for a triangle but Wood defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zeuos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wood doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wood manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Zeuos is breathing heavily. Zeuos is working an open guard so Wood takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Wood shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Zeuos but Zeuos pushes him off and we're back to square one. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wood closes the distance and clinches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wood's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wood drops Zeuos with a beautiful combination! Zeuos stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Wood is looking for the KO!
It looks like Brian Zeuos has been cut. Wood moves into range and clinches up with Zeuos. Wood pulls guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wood looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Wood is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. No luck for Wood with that takedown attempt. Zeuos tries to land a front kick but Wood steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Wood blocks a leg kick. Wood clinches up with Zeuos and pushes him back against the cage. Wood can't get the takedown.
Wood's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Brian Zeuos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wood scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Zeuos gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wood lands strikes from half guard. Zeuos wants to control but Wood is keeping busy.
Well, if Wood is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Drew Wood showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Brian Zeuos's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Wood. Wood sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Zeuos is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Wood goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Zeuos has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Wood but great work by Zeuos. Wood manages to get back to half guard. Wood is staying active underneath Zeuos, who seems content to just control the action from this position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zeuos is looking to advance position but Wood won't allow it. Zeuos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wood keeps working. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Wood escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Zeuos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Drew Wood has got the better of the ground game so far. Zeuos trying to control but Wood is working from the bottom. Wood not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Drew Wood. Well Wood has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
