PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Henson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jester Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henson comes to the cage accompanied by Die MF Die by Dope. Head has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Jester Head is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henson tries to clinch up.

Henson drives through and clinches with Head against the cage.

Head manages to break the clinch.
Henson stuffs the takedown.

Head has closed the distance and engaged Henson in a clinch.
Henson lands with a left to the head.
Henson scores with a knee to the head.
Head is pressed up against the cage. Henson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Head down to the mat. Head avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Horrible takedown by Henson or perhaps it was just good defense by Head which made him look bad.

and Henson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Head won't be happy with that.

Henson decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Head has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Henson finds it's way round the side to connect with Head's head.

Henson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Henson uses his free foot to push down on Head's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Head.

Head had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Henson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Head Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Henson's back instead.

Henson is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Head has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
