The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crusoe gets a takedown into half guard.
Sakuraba is refusing to be controlled, as Crusoe sits in half guard.
Crusoe prevents Sakuraba from standing back up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Crusoe stops Sakuraba from getting back to his feet.

Crusoe wants to pass the guard but Sakuraba is defending well.

Sakuraba tries to kick Crusoe off but Crusoe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Crusoe takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Sakuraba lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sakuraba.
Crusoe shoots in for a double leg but Sakuraba sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Sakuraba scores with a crisp jab that stopped Crusoe in his tracks.
Sakuraba connects with a combination that backs up Crusoe into the cage. Sakuraba lands a flurry of punches that gets past Crusoe's guard. Crusoe is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Sakuraba bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.

A relieved looking Antonio Sakuraba thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
