The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith moves into the clinch.
Boyd has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Smith after a bit of a struggle.
Smith tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Smith tries to stand but can't do so whilst Boyd controls his leg.

Boyd closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Boyd pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
