PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between William Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramon Dekker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perry kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is goldberg theme. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ramon Dekker!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry throws a right hand that Dekker ducks under and follows up with a left that Dekker also avoids with ease.
Perry looks for a takedown but Dekker sprawls well.

Perry bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Dekker is pushing Perry's head away, looking to escape. Perry manages to hold on to the position though.
Perry has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Dekker is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Dekker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Perry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Perry unloads with some shots from mount but Dekker bucks and avoids them well.

Perry has hold of Dekker's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dekker manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Perry looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Perry jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Dekker manages to avoid the submission attempt.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Dekker plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Perry tries to close the distance and clinch but Dekker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Perry shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Perry showed some decent athleticism there.

Ramon Dekker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Perry shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dekker's guard.
Dekker is looking to stand up but Perry isn't so interested in that idea.
