Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Per Eklund (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Quaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Per Eklund! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Quaker! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eklund pushes Quaker up against the cage in a clinch. Eklund has hold of one of Quaker's legs. Quaker is fighting the takedown attempt but Eklund gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Eklund postures up.
Eklund in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Quaker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Eklund gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Eklund stops Quaker from standing up. Eklund scoring with punches to the head and body. Eklund postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Eklund thows a big elbow that misses. Quaker is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Eklund postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Quaker has Eklund pulled in close to control his posture. Eklund controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Eklund looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Eklund lands with a punch from half guard. Quaker wants to get back to full guard. Eklund takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Quaker trying to control from the bottom.
Eklund looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Eklund lands strikes from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Quaker is looking to improve his position.

I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Eklund connects with a nice short shot to Quaker's temple. Eklund content to control rather than advance. Eklund landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Eklund lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Eklund is nestled in close to Quaker, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Eklund scoring with strikes to the body and head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice strikes from Eklund there. Eklund is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Quaker tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Eklund swivels and escapes. Quaker shoots in and drives through. Eklund sprawls well. That's one minute gone in the round. Eklund seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Quaker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Quaker is breathing heavily. Eklund stalling. Eklund looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Quaker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Eklund looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Quaker is staying active underneath Eklund, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Quaker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Eklund's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Eklund's back! Quaker missing with punches from the back. Eklund is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Quaker gets his way!
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Eklund breaks Quaker's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Eklund changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Quaker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Eklund wants to control but Quaker is keeping him busy. Quaker is looking for a sweep. The referee asks Eklund politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Sean Quaker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Per Eklund is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Eklund in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
And that's the end of the fight! Per Eklund showed his dominance in that final round. Well Eklund has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
