Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Elvis Mcclain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Niels Miltoft! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Miltoft, as that shot connected.
Miltoft gets the takedown into side control. Mcclain really is a fat lump. Miltoft tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Miltoft moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miltoft's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miltoft tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Mcclain is looking for a sweep. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Miltoft staying calm. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mcclain sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Miltoft trying to pass the guard but Mcclain defending well. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Miltoft in particular looking to stall.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miltoft with a nice cross. Miltoft closes the distance and clinches. A bit of stalling here from Mcclain.
A shot in the inside from Miltoft. Miltoft scores with an uppercut up the middle. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Mcclain pressing his opponent against the cage. Miltoft has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mcclain uses from the top position. Mcclain engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miltoft pushes Mcclain off and gets back to his feet.
Miltoft scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Miltoft gets in close and tags Mcclain with a short punch that almost sends Mcclain to the mat! Oh Mcclain is in big trouble! He turns his back on Miltoft, trying to create some distance but Miltoft rushes him, striking wildly and Mcclain goes down! The referee tackles Miltoft into the cage to end the fight! Miltoft is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Niels Miltoft!
