Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jorma Joukahainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Suyoung Suh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jorma Joukahainen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Suyoung Suh! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joukahainen shoots in but Suh avoids the takedown attempt easily. Suh swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Joukahainen.
It looks like Jorma Joukahainen has been cut. Suh missing with a left hand there. Joukahainen was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Joukahainen has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Joukahainen fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Joukahainen staying out of range there. Joukahainen checks a leg kick nicely. Suh staying out of range there. Joukahainen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Joukahainen works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Suh scores with a jab to the body. The crowd cheers as Joukahainen lands an impressive looking overhand right. Suh doesn't seem phased though. Suh on the wrong end of a nice hook. Suh misses with a hook. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Joukahainen waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Suh. Joukahainen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Suh's head backwards. Joukahainen is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Joukahainen throws an overhand right that lands on Suh's shoulder, as Suh tries to avoid the shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suh connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Suh just misses with a punch to the body.
Suh fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Joukahainen. Joukahainen misses with a looping right. Suh stuffs the takedown attempt from Joukahainen. Joukahainen gets slowly back to his feet. Joukahainen moves away from the strike by Suh. No joy there for Suh, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A shot to the liver by Joukahainen. Beautiful body shot. A solid leg kick lands there for Suh.
Joukahainen goes for a double leg but Suh avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Suh continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jorma Joukahainen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Joukahainen lands a glancing blow to the side of Suh's head. Suh throws a leg kick but Joukahainen sees it coming and moves out of range. Suh misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nice defenses there by Suh. Joukahainen misses with a two punch combination.
This has been an exciting period of action! Joukahainen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Suh's coach down at ~KT-MMA~ was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Suh's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Suh moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Joukahainen gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Joukahainen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Joukahainen misses with an uppercut. Joukahainen cracks Suh with a good jab. Suh bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Joukahainen misses with a series of wild punches.
Suh swings widly with a right hand
and Joukahainen counters with a stiff right hand. Suh scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Suh throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Suh takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Joukahainen looks to land a right hand but Suh moved out of range. Joukahainen ducks under a wild hook from Suh. Suyoung Suh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Suh takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Suh throws a lazy right hand but Joukahainen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Joukahainen tries to keep at a distance but Suh has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suh lands an uppercut. Suh lands with a right to the head. Joukahainen drops down looking for an ankle pick but Suh pulls his leg out and moves away.
Joukahainen takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Joukahainen avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Joukahainen throws a body shot but no joy. Suh moves into the clinch. Suh tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Suh tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Joukahainen changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Suh fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Suh bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Joukahainen takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Joukahainen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Joukahainen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Suh is fending him off so far but Joukahainen persists. Nope, Suh circles away and we're back to standing. Suh turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Joukahainen jabs Suh right on the nose. Suh blinks but takes it well. Suh wants to slow Joukahainen down by chopping away at his legs. Suh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Joukahainen.
Suh throws a jab when Joukahainen was well out of range. Joukahainen swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Suh lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Joukahainen has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Joukahainen and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Joukahainen is looking to counter punch. Joukahainen is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Suh throws a shot from downtown. Joukahainen moves away and avoids it. Joukahainen is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Suh throws a head kick that misses. Suh swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Joukahainen. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Joukahainen keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Joukahainen stuns Suh with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Suh fails in his attempt to clinch. A nice inside leg kick there by Suh. That's going to slow Joukahainen down. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Suyoung Suh will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jorma Joukahainen's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Suh misses with a hook to the body
and Joukahainen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Suh is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Suh throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Joukahainen avoids the head kick by Suh.
Suh lands a glancing blow to the side of Joukahainen's head. Joukahainen cracks Suh with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Suh thuds a left hand into Joukahainen's body. Joukahainen lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Suh tries to bum rush Joukahainen with a series of wild strikes but Joukahainen uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Joukahainen dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Joukahainen blocks a head kick by Suh.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Suh throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Joukahainen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Suh napping and manages to drive through into side control! Suh tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Joukahainen trying to control but Suh is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suh controls the position. Joukahainen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Poor strikes thrown by Joukahainen there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Joukahainen unloads with some shots from mount but Suh bucks and avoids them well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Suh can do anything to dispel that myth. Joukahainen throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Suh because Joukahainen loaded up on that one. Joukahainen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Suh is looking to escape. Joukahainen controlling the pace for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Suh blocking the ground and pound. A nice elbow there by Joukahainen. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Joukahainen goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Suh is on top in guard.
Suh wants to stand but Joukahainen has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Suh won't allow Joukahainen to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joukahainen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Suh defends it easily. Joukahainen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Joukahainen wants to sweep here but Suh controlling him for the moment. Suh wants to stand but Joukahainen is controlling his posture from full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Joukahainen is striking off his back. Suh thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Joukahainen looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jorma Joukahainen dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Jorma Joukahainen's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Suh thumps Joukahainen with a low kick. Jorma Joukahainen is winning the standup battle so far. A momentary lapse in concentration from Suh enables Joukahainen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Suh manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Joukahainen stopping the sweep attempt from Suh. Suh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Joukahainen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Suh keeping moving, preventing Joukahainen from controlling successfully. Joukahainen throws a big elbow that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Suh utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Joukahainen looking to sit in guard and control but Suh gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suh wants to get up but he can't break Joukahainen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Suh avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Joukahainen has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Suh is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Joukahainen. Joukahainen is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Joukahainen is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Suh's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Joukahainen wants to improve his position but Suh is controlling well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Suh is thwarting Joukahainen's attempts to control the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Joukahainen misses with a hook
and Suh cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Joukahainen misses with a wild body shot. Suh misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Joukahainen.
Joukahainen lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Suh at a distance.
Suh fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Suh scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Joukahainen doesn't seem bothered though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Suh fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Suh connects with a good right hand that stumbles Joukahainen. Joukahainen circles away out of range and recomposes himself. A looping hook to the body misses from Joukahainen. Suh does a little dance to reset his feet. Joukahainen punishes Suh's body with a nice straight punch. Joukahainen misses with a jab, cross combination.
Joukahainen is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Joukahainen uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Suh clinches up with Joukahainen and pushes him back against the cage. Joukahainen prevents a body shot from Suh. Joukahainen tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Suh lands with a right to the head. Suh lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Joukahainen is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Suh tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Suh just leaning against Joukahainen, taking a breather. Joukahainen blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
And that's the end of the fight! Suyoung Suh comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Suh has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Suyoung Suh! Suyoung Suh tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
