Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nicolas Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Gustav (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Carl Gustav enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nicolas Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carl Gustav! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gustav lands a really nice looking cross but Gracie seems unphased.
Gustav darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Gustav scores with a decent looking hook. Gracie lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Gracie looks to score with a jab to the body but Gustav is just out of range. No joy there for Gracie, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gustav misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Gracie counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gracie is looking for a kimura but Gustav is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gracie to get the leverage. Gracie is working for a submission of some sort.
Gustav is defending against the submission attempts here by Gracie.
Gracie winds up and cracks Gustav with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is figuring out what he wants to do next. Gracie tries to pass to full mount but Gustav defends it. Gracie wants to control but Gustav is keeping him busy. Gracie stalling. Gustav tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Gustav is trying to control but can't.
Gracie in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Gustav tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Gracie!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Nicolas Gracie! In his post fight interview, Nicolas Gracie started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. Carl Gustav was interviewed post fight and said 'I just wanna dance'.
