Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Rockatansky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Cain! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cain loads up on a big right hand but Rockatansky slips the punch. Cain takes a body punch but keeps moving. Rockatansky throws a body shot but no joy. Cain looks to land a right hand but Rockatansky moved out of range. Rockatansky fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cain to the ground. Rockatansky is now in Cain's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rockatansky cracks Cain with a solid left hand. Rockatansky with a nice head shot there. Rockatansky works over Cain with some ground and pound from guard. Rockatansky postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Rockatansky postures up and lands a big shot to Cain's brow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cain can't keep his opponent in guard - Rockatansky advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Cain is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. This has been an exciting period of action! Rockatansky winds up and cracks Cain with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Rockatansky lands with a punch from half guard. Rockatansky slips a nice elbow through Cain's hands, connecting with Cain's forehead. Cain is looking to escape. Rockatansky landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Rockatansky is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Cain is hurt! He's hurt bad - Rockatansky fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Cain from any more punishment! Congratulations to Rockatansky! Great finish!
