Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlo Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mance Rayder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, Carlo Alvarez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
44 - 29 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mance Rayder! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ouch! a nice leg kick from Alvarez, right into the meat.
A head kick misses from Alvarez. Alvarez slips a jab from Rayder. Donk. Alvarez catches Rayder right on the button with a cross. An inside leg kick lands from Rayder. Rayder takes a swing at Alvarez's ribcage but misses. Rayder drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Alvarez slips a jab from Rayder. Rayder throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Alvarez on the side of the head. Alvarez avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A nice inside leg kick there by Alvarez. That's going to slow Rayder down. Rayder misses with a low kick. Alvarez swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alvarez dives in for a single leg takedown but Rayder sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Rayder appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Alvarez tries to score with a low kick but Rayder moves his leg out of the way. Rayder is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Alvarez connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rayder momentarily.
Mance Rayder is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Alvarez takes a shot right to the bread basket. Alvarez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rayder moves away. It seemed like Rayder was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Rayder's jab looks to have found its range, popping Alvarez under the eye. Crunch! Alvarez slams his shin into Rayder's torso. Alvarez tries to clinch there but Rayder circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Alvarez throws a wild body kick that Rayder sees coming a mile off. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. That kick from Alvarez tenderised Rayder's leg. Rayder is trying to keep his angry face on. Rayder looks to score with a jab to the body but Alvarez is just out of range. Alvarez swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rayder. Carlo Alvarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rayder just misses with a punch to the body.
Alvarez appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Rayder keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A nice side step and Rayder releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Rayder fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Alvarez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Alvarez throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Rayder's head. A low kick from Alvarez is predictable there and Rayder counters with a three punch combo that has Alvarez backing up. Alvarez nods at Rayder to acknowledge the strikes. Rayder misses with a few strikes there.
Rayder takes a swing at Alvarez's ribcage but misses. Alvarez appears to be looking for a big counter. Rayder throws a predictable looking body shot
and Alvarez counters with a stiff right hand. Alvarez takes a kick to the side of the head. Alvarez checks a low kick from Rayder. Alvarez was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Alvarez is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Rayder swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Alvarez throws a leg kick that is checked and Rayder counters with a three punch combo that has Alvarez backing up. Alvarez nods at Rayder to acknowledge the strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rayder tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Rayder has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rayder smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Rayder throws a sloppy head kick and Alvarez moves out of range easily. Alvarez misses with a wild combination.
Alvarez scores with a jab. Rayder acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Alvarez lands a leg kick that knocks Rayder off balance momentarily. Alvarez stuns Rayder with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Rayder connects with a good right hand that stumbles Alvarez. Alvarez circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Rayder throws a combination that misses and Alvarez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Carlo Alvarez will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Alvarez attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Alvarez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rayder manages to avoid it. Alvarez looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Alvarez swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Alvarez walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Good leg kick by Alvarez there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rayder on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Rayder connects with a good right hand that stumbles Alvarez. Alvarez circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Rayder misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's one minute gone in the round. Alvarez finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Carlo Alvarez is winning the standup battle so far. A right-left combo lands from Rayder. Good exchange - Alvarez coming out on top. Alvarez thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Rayder if he has to take too many more of those.
A looping hook to the body misses from Alvarez. Rayder does a little dance to reset his feet. Rayder throws an overhand right that lands on Alvarez's shoulder, as Alvarez tries to avoid the shot. Alvarez looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Rayder tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Alvarez misses with a low kick. Rayder is looking to chop away at Alvarez's legs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rayder lands with a good body shot. Rayder lunges at Alvarez with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Alvarez's hand. Alvarez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Rayder throws a counter combo. Alvarez throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rayder! But no joy. Alvarez throws a sloppy head kick and Rayder moves out of range easily. Rayder checks a low kick from Alvarez. Alvarez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Rayder's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Rayder shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rayder scores with a nice strike. Alvarez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rayder.
Rayder connects with a good right hand that stumbles Alvarez. Alvarez circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Rayder lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Rayder with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Alvarez to score with a decent uppercut. Rayder throws a head kick that misses. Alvarez looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rayder stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Alvarez. Alvarez avoids a punch combination nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Mance Rayder will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Alvarez is working Rayder over against the cage. Rayder's coach down at Winds of Winter was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Rayder's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Alvarez blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Rayder is rocked! Alvarez has Rayder pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Rayder is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Alvarez - that's hurt Rayder badly! Oh, another knee lands and Rayder is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Rayder doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Carlo Alvarez! In his post fight interview, Carlo Alvarez started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. Mance Rayder spoke after the fight, saying 'Yo, fuck this. This is bullshit. I was robbed.'.
