Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Rees (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommi Uzumaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uzumaki is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Clawfinger - Biggest & The Best. Kyle Rees has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Rees!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommi Uzumaki!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rees clinches up against the cage.

Rees ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rees no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Uzumaki trying to move into half guard but instead Rees has managed to sweep!
Rees slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Rees connects with a couple of short punches.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rees not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Rees is in close to Uzumaki's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Rees looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Rees thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Rees has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rees slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Rees drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rees jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Rees's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Uzumaki keeping moving, preventing Rees from controlling successfully.
Uzumaki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rees. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rees working some strikes from top position.
Rees connects with a couple of short punches.
Rees stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Uzumaki swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rees scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Rees decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Uzumaki looks gassed!

Rees gets in close and instigates a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Uzumaki wants a takedown.

Rees really is a fat lump.

Rees working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Uzumaki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Uzumaki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Rees trying to keep a closed guard but Uzumaki is proving a slippery customer.

Rees has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Uzumaki can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rees pushes a forearm under Uzumaki's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Uzumaki is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kyle Rees!
