Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, DJ Wegesin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Davy Bauwens!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bauwens fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Wegesin fails with the takedown

so Bauwens counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Bauwens is looking to work some ground and pound but Wegesin has wrist control.
Bauwens trying to control but Wegesin is working from the bottom.

Wegesin looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bauwens stays in close to Wegesin's body and controls the position.

Wegesin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bauwens is stalling in the full guard.
Bauwens wants to control from the top but Wegesin keeps moving.

Bauwens thows a big elbow that misses.
Bauwens landing some decent shots from guard.
Bauwens trying to control but Wegesin is working from the bottom.
Bauwens is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Bauwens drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bauwens jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Wegesin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bauwens gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Wegesin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bauwens can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Wegesin has his foot on Bauwens's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bauwens works his way back into a safe position though.

Wegesin looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Bauwens is defending well. Wegesin quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Bauwens has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Wegesin celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
