Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
19 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Conor Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Akira Hendrix!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Bruno Lombardi and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris looks to land a body kick but Hendrix moved away.
Harris plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Harris lands a jab to the nose.
Harris throws a low kick but Hendrix moves out of range easily.
Harris throws a leg kick which misses Hendrix's front leg but catches the back leg as Hendrix tries to avoid it.
Hendrix is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Harris digs a good body shot into Hendrix's ribs.
Harris lands a slapping body shot.
Harris throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Hendrix blocks the body kick.
Harris feints a jab promting Hendrix to slip. Harris then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hendrix slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Harris lands with a shot to the body.
Hendrix closes the distance and clinches.
Harris breaks from the clinch.
Hendrix fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Harris, pushing him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Harris manages to break the clinch.
A jab from Hendrix misses.
Hendrix has managed to clinch.
Harris breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Harris pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hendrix has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Hendrix tries to close the distance and clinch but Harris swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Harris fails to land with a series of punches.
Despite the aggression on Hendrix's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Harris tries to land a leg kick but Hendrix saw it coming and moves away.
Harris misses with a hook
and Hendrix counters with a straight right hand.
Hendrix blocks a head kick by Harris.
Harris wants to slow Hendrix down by chopping away at his legs.
Harris circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hendrix tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Harris counters with a good, hard body kick but Hendrix shrugs it off.
Harris staying out of range there.
Hendrix chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Harris can pounce on him.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
No joy there for Harris, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Harris throws a series of strikes that have Hendrix backpedaling.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A thudding body kick lands there by Harris!
Hendrix takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Harris tries to keep at a distance but Hendrix has taken the fight into the clinch.
Harris's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Harris scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hendrix doesn't seem bothered though.
Harris shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hendrix eats them both and turns towards Harris to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Hendrix takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Harris digs a good hook to Hendrix's body.
Hendrix looks winded!
Harris pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hendrix wants to clinch.
You can follow us on Twitter at...Ooooooh Hendrix got wobbled bad by a big combination! Harris presses forward with punches and knees until Hendrix stumbles to the ground! The ref watches Hendrix closely before deciding to step in and end the fight!
