Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Cottle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Wolfgang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that David Cottle has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily David Cottle seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Cottle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dante Wolfgang! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wolfgang moves in looking to clinch but Cottle pushes him off. Wolfgang tries to clinch up. Wolfgang rushes Cottle and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Cottle fails to pull guard.
Knees to the body from Wolfgang.
Wolfgang throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Cottle blocks it with crossed arms. Wolfgang tries a knee to the head but Cottle blocks it.
Cottle jumps guard but Wolfgang stands there with Cottle around his waist. Cottle gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Cottle drops down looking for an ankle pick but Wolfgang pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Cottle. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cottle avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wolfgang wants to clinch. Cottle shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wolfgang pinned against the cage. Wolfgang gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Wolfgang throws out a leg kick but Cottle moves out of range and Wolfgang only half commits.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cottle swats away the attempt to clinch by Wolfgang. Wolfgang tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cottle paws at him with a jab and circles away. Cottle blocks a leg kick. Cottle shoots in looking for a takedown. Wolfgang tries to sprawl out of it but Cottle keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wolfgang manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Wolfgang throws a leg kick but Cottle moved away. Wolfgang keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cottle avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wolfgang rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cottle moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Cottle takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. A punch lands to the side of Cottle 's head but he takes it in his stride. Wolfgang fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wolfgang tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Wolfgang wants to clinch. Dante Wolfgang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cottle throws a solid leg kick but Wolfgang takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Cottle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cottle closes the distance and clinches up with Wolfgang, looking for a takedown. Cottle pushes Wolfgang against the cage but Wolfgang circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Horrible takedown by Cottle or perhaps it was just good defense by Wolfgang which made him look bad. Wolfgang tries to clinch up. Cottle bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Wolfgang tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Cottle circles away from the clinch attempt.

Dante Wolfgang dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Let's see what he's got on the ground. Cottle is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wolfgang doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cottle. Wolfgang moves into full guard.

Cottle sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wolfgang's guard. Cottle trying to pass the guard but Wolfgang defending well. Cottle is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wolfgang doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cottle. Wolfgang is defending against the submission attempts here by Cottle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Wolfgang trying to control here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cottle passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Wolfgang! Cottle throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wolfgang holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Cottle tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Wolfgang gets back to half guard. Cottle passes the guard and advances to mount! Cottle is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Wolfgang has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Wolfgang! Cottle working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wolfgang doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wolfgang manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Wolfgang tries to free his leg and advance position but Cottle is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wolfgang slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cottle is on top in guard.
Cottle throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wolfgang works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Wolfgang is looking for a triangle but Cottle pushes his legs off easily.
Cottle drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Wolfgang dives on top into guard. Cottle is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that David Cottle will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
