OQuinn has chosen I'm A Dog I'm Sorry- Big Tymers as his entrance music. Jamal Provodnikov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Damien OQuinn's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Damien OQuinn!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from OQuinn misses.
Provodnikov uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from OQuinn.
Provodnikov is looking for a counter combo.
The fight stays on the outside here - Provodnikov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Provodnikov.
OQuinn avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
We've been informed that OQuinn has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Provodnikov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as OQuinn sprawls well. OQuinn wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Provodnikov gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Horrible takedown attempt by Provodnikov or perhaps it was just good defense by OQuinn, which made it look bad.

Provodnikov is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables OQuinn to keep the fight standing.

Still in the clinch, OQuinn scores with a nice short uppercut.
OQuinn lands an elbow just above Provodnikov 's eye.


Provodnikov is rocked!
Provodnikov is trying to break the clinch but OQuinn is controlling him.

Oh Provodnikov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
OQuinn just leaning against Provodnikov, taking a breather.
Provodnikov seems to have got his legs back now.

OQuinn manages to break the clinch.
OQuinn throws a body shot but no joy.
Provodnikov drops down looking for a counter takedown but OQuinn sprawls and moves away.
Provodnikov throws a wild body kick that OQuinn sees coming a mile off.
OQuinn avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
OQuinn is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Provodnikov.
OQuinn jabs at Provodnikov's body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Provodnikov has OQuinn pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. OQuinn manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

OQuinn fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Provodnikov, pushing him back against the cage.
Provodnikov tries to pull guard but OQuinn holds him up against the cage and eventually Provodnikov drops back down to his feet.
OQuinn lands a shoulder strike.
OQuinn throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Provodnikovs head.
Nice elbow from OQuinn.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
OQuinn lands a left hand that snaps the head of Provodnikov backwards.
OQuinn lands with a short shot to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Damien OQuinn dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jamal Provodnikov's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

A little jabbing left from OQuinn on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

OQuinn is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Provodnikov with a body shot.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
OQuinn lands an elbow inside that Provodnikov shrugs off.
OQuinn lands with a light punch inside.
OQuinn lands an elbow just above Provodnikov 's eye.
Provodnikov tries to break free but OQuinn pushes him back against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from OQuinn.
Damien OQuinn seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

OQuinn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from OQuinn in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Provodnikov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by OQuinn.

OQuinn lands a shoulder strike.
Provodnikov has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. OQuinn is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

OQuinn pushes Provodnikov against the cage. OQuinn is working some dirty boxing. OQuinn pushes off with a quick right hook! Provodnikov goes down! Provodnikov tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! OQuinn moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Damien OQuinn!
A pretty intense looking Damien OQuinn took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
