Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mathulian closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Silva sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Silva has one foot on Mathulian's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Mathulian avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Silva moves in looking to clinch but Mathulian pushes him off.
Mathulian fails with the takedown.
Mathulian rushes Silva and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Silva is trying to stall.
Silva creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Mathulian's defenses.
Silva misses with a knee strike.
Silva breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Zep Mathulian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mathulian shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Silva pushes Mathulian off and scrambles back to his feet.

Mathulian tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Silva works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Silva tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mathulian just stands there and leans against the cage.

Mathulian is trying to drag Silva to the mat but Silva just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Anderson Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zep Mathulian.

Silva has had enough of the clinch but Mathulian keeps him there for the moment.

Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Mathulian circles away.

Silva plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Silva throws a sloppy head kick and Mathulian moves out of range easily.
Mathulian tries to keep at a distance but Silva has taken the fight into the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva is fighting off a takedown attempt but Mathulian is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Silva to the mat. Silva regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Silva looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Silva has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Mathulian should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Silva has tightened it up now! Mathulian should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
