Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brownie Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marek Koltun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

31 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Brownie Anderson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Marek Koltun! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koltun misses with an uppercut
letting Anderson counter with a right hand. Koltun misses with an attempted mid kick.
Anderson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Koltun. Koltun is looking to chop away at Anderson's legs. Koltun misses with a takedown and Anderson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Koltun moves to clinch but Anderson breaks away and Anderson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Koltun tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anderson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Koltun misses with a wild body shot. Anderson swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Koltun throws a body punch but Anderson moves out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Anderson. Koltun does a little dance to reset his feet. Anderson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Anderson misses with a kick to the body and Koltun counters with a nice double leg into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Anderson has hold of Koltun's hands but Koltun slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Anderson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Koltun's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Koltun's back! Anderson looking to break Koltun's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Koltun remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Anderson will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Anderson lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Koltun hold on?!

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Koltun! But no joy. Marek Koltun seems to be getting the better of the standup. Anderson throws a body shot but no joy. Koltun with the counter takedown but Anderson avoids it easily. Koltun throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Brownie Anderson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Koltun connects with a right hand. Anderson shakes it off. Anderson throws a nice inside leg kick. Koltun needs to keep his hands up - Anderson had a free shot at his head there. Anderson swings widly with a right hand
and Koltun counters with a nice double leg into guard. Koltun throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Koltun wants to pass the guard but Anderson is keeping the position. Anderson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! That was a close second round but I would say that Brownie Anderson will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Koltun throws a hook to the side of Anderson's head but Anderson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Anderson tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Koltun shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Anderson but Anderson pushes him off and we're back to square one. It looked like Anderson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Anderson, as that shot connected.
Koltun moves out of range as Anderson strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anderson slips a jab from Koltun. Anderson was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Koltun's jab looks to have found its range, popping Anderson under the eye. and Koltun counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Koltun steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Anderson. Koltun uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Anderson. Koltun walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Anderson lands a head shot. Koltun feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Anderson's calf. and Koltun cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Koltun shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Anderson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Koltun working the strikes but Anderson uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Brownie Anderson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Anderson manages to get to full guard.

Anderson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Koltun's guard. Nice move by Anderson! Anderson wants to control from the top but Koltun keeps moving. Anderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Koltun is retaining full guard. Anderson looking to sit in guard and control but Koltun gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Anderson can't keep his opponent in guard - Koltun advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
