Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rick Northcut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Casey Ryback (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Northcut comes to the cage accompanied by Black and Blue. Ryback comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Superstition - Stevie Wonder kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Casey Ryback told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryback throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Northcut counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ryback!
Ryback on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Ryback really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Northcut. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ryback is trying to get back to half guard.
Check out the look on Northcut's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Ryback takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Northcut in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Ryback is rocked!
Northcut has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ryback is trying to escape the position but Northcut is controlling the position.
Ryback is still in real trouble! Can Northcut finish him?
Ryback takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Northcut takes a little break here. Ryback wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Ryback tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Northcut wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Ryback looks to move to half guard but instead Northcut has passed into mount! Damn!
Northcut with a couple of short strikes.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Northcut! Ryback is hurt baaadly! Northcut is firing away with more strikes - Ryback is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rick Northcut!
After winning the bout, Rick Northcut thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
