Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Emo Kid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rene Simard!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kid shoots in but no luck this time.
Kid lands a head kick!
Simard throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kid's waist but Kid gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Simard off to one side.
Kid gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Kid is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Simard is defending well.
Kid is stalling here.
Simard gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kid.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Emo Kid. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kid jumps guard.
Kid on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kid tries to get out of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kid is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Kid wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Simard wants to control from the top but Kid keeps moving.
Kid wants to stand and escape but Simard is having none of it.
Simard trying to control the position from guard on top but Kid is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kid is pulling down on Simard's head. It's preventing any offense from Simard, at least for the moment.
Kid knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Simard on the ground.
Simard passes Kid's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Simard is trying to control. Kid wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kid holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Simard seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Kid is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
