Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Robin Estrada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Max Cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cage closes the distance and clinches.
Estrada tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Estrada is trying to pull guard but Cage turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Cage lands a takedown into guard.
Cage looking to sit in guard and control but Estrada gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Estrada controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Cage looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Estrada stops Cage from standing up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Estrada not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Cage throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Estrada really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Cage can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Estrada controls the pace.

Estrada seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Cage looking to hit a scissor sweep but Estrada is one step ahead there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Estrada stays in close to Cage's body and controls the position.

Cage has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Estrada can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Estrada scoring with punches to the head and body.
Estrada trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Estrada closes the distance and clinches.

Cage gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Estrada has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Cage is on him like a limpet, forcing Estrada back against the cage.
Estrada is trying to pull guard but Cage has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robin Estrada. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Estrada has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cage uses from the top position.
Estrada manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cage manages to get himself to full guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Estrada in particular looking to stall.
Cage wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Cage pushes Estrada off and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Robin Estrada will probably get the nod.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cage wants to lay and pray for a moment but Estrada keeps working.

Cage wants to control but Estrada is keeping him busy.

Estrada tries to buck Cage off but Cage is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cage wants to lay and pray for a moment but Estrada keeps working.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Cage has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Cage fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!


Estrada is rocked!
Cage lands a big shot to the head and Estrada winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Max Cage!
