0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Louis Premier! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tucker throws a shot to the body.
Tucker lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Tucker.
It looks like Louis Premier has been cut. Premier closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tucker circles away. Premier tries to clinch but fails miserably and Tucker counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Tucker scores with a decent looking hook. Tucker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Premier walks into a straight right hand from Tucker. Premier doesn't succeed with the takedown and Tucker counters with a straight right hand. James Tucker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Premier is looking to clinch but Tucker is avoiding it.

This has been an exciting period of action! Tucker working some nice short punches in the clinch. A short uppercut from Tucker. Premier is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Tucker is defending well. James Tucker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Louis Premier. That's one minute gone in the round. Tucker tries to improve position but can't. Tucker wants to control but Premier postures up. Tucker is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Premier is staying tight to Tucker's torso, preventing him from escaping.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Premier is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tucker is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Tucker is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Premier controlling the position. Premier thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Tucker's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Tucker connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
That has opened up Louis Premier's cut even more. Premier gets a double leg takedown into Tucker's guard. Tucker is looking to stand back up but Premier counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Tucker. Tucker wants to get back to full guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tucker is trying is best to control the position here. Premier scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Premier in particular looking to stall. Tucker is trying to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Tucker dominated that round. The cut man is working on Louis Premier's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Premier shoots for a takedown but Tucker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tucker doesn't manage to clinch there - Premier circles away.
Premier is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Premier takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Premier is rocked! Premier leaves his chin hanging out and Tucker seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Premier crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
