Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rod Langley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Suarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rod Langley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carlos Suarez! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Alyssa Summers and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suarez pushes Langley up against the cage in a clinch. Langley blocking some punches.
Suarez stops a takedown attempt from Langley.
Suarez misses with the head strike.
Suarez tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Suarez misses with a short punch on the inside. Suarez trying to land knees to the body.
Langley blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Suarez tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Langley avoids it. Suarez is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Langley is defending well for now. Langley on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Langley is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Suarez pulls him back up using the underhooks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Suarez dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Langley has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Suarez is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rod Langley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Suarez lands a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suarez has hold of one of Langley's legs. Langley is fighting the takedown attempt but Suarez gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Langley manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Suarez swings wildly with an uppercut but Langley uses good head movement to avoid it. Langley wants a takedown.
Suarez tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Langley blocks an uppercut.
Suarez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Suarez moves into the clinch successfully.

Suarez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Suarez misses with a short punch on the inside. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Langley jumps guard but Suarez turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Suarez slows down the pace here.
Suarez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Suarez pushes Langley up against the cage in a clinch. A bit of stalling here from Langley.
Suarez misses with a hook from the clinch. Suarez tries to land knees in the clinch but Langley avoids the damage to the body. Langley can't find room to land a body shot as Suarez controls the action.
Suarez has Langley pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Suarez pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Langley tumbling to the mat - Suarez dives into Langley's guard. Langley is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Suarez tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Langley avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head punch on the inside from Suarez fails to land. Suarez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Langley avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Suarez throws a punch but it's blocked by Langley. Langley stalling in the clinch but Suarez improves position. Langley drags the fight down to the ground.
Langley has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Suarez should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Langley has tightened it up now! Suarez should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
