Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ozzy McDaniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Kita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kita has chosen Aleja Gwiazd as his entrance music. Damian Kita struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 266.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Ozzy McDaniels has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Damian Kita! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McDaniels misses with a wild body shot. McDaniels swats away the attempt to clinch by Kita. Kita misses with a leg kick and McDaniels counters with a nice double leg into half guard. McDaniels is working for a kimura but Kita is defending it quite comfortably.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McDaniels looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kita is defending against the submission attempts here by McDaniels.
McDaniels trying to advance position but Kita counters by regaining guard. Kita being controlled here, momentarily. McDaniels drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McDaniels jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. McDaniels is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Kita trying to control the position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. McDaniels trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. McDaniels trying to control but Kita is working from the bottom. McDaniels thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. That's three minutes gone in the round. McDaniels stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kita swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kita has an active guard here but McDaniels has managed to pass into half guard.
McDaniels uses his free foot to push down on Kita's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kita. McDaniels wants to finish this one by submission but Kita is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from McDaniels. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McDaniels is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kita to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kita shrugs it off. McDaniels could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kita is looking to get to half guard. McDaniels looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. McDaniels tries to control but Kita wriggling away. Kita can't escape the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! McDaniels trying to control but Kita is having none of it. Kita sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ozzy McDaniels dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kita throws a head kick that misses. Kita moves to clinch but McDaniels breaks away and McDaniels counters with a nice double leg into guard. Kita had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McDaniels defends it easily. Kita keeping moving, preventing McDaniels from controlling successfully. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting McDaniels here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. McDaniels pushing down on Kita's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. McDaniels is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McDaniels tries to pass to full mount but Kita defends it. Kita tries to get to full guard but McDaniels has control of the leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. McDaniels is taking a breather. Kita says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. McDaniels is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kita defends it well. Kita keeps control of the position for the meantime. Kita wants to improve his position but McDaniels is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. McDaniels is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Kita is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ozzy McDaniels! Damian Kita spoke after the fight, saying 'I will be back!'.
