Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Big Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harold Shermann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Big Guy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is riz ortolani - oh my love (feat. katyna ranieri).. Shermann is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Nirvana - Dumb. Mario Big Guy has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mario Big Guy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Harold Shermann! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Big Guy closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Shermann missing with punches from the bottom.
Shermann has one foot on Big Guy's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Shermann takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
It looks like Harold Shermann has been cut. Shermann should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Big Guy misses with a head kick.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Big Guy enables Shermann to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Big Guy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Big Guy looking for a guillotine here but Shermann defends easily.
We've been hearing good reports from Big Guy's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Shermann working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Big Guy has momentary wrist control but Shermann slips an elbow through the middle. Shermann stands and steps away. Big Guy gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Shermann avoids the head kick by Big Guy.
Sloppy strikes from Big Guy. Those never looked like landing. Nice uppercut lands for Big Guy. That snapped Shermann's head back.
Shermann dives in and scores a takedown into Big Guy's guard. Big Guy has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Shermann off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's one minute gone in the round. Big Guy avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Big Guy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Big Guy scores with a hook. Shermann shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Big Guy is breathing heavily. Nice strikes from Shermann there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shermann seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Shermann working Big Guy over with strikes. Shermann takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Shermann is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Big Guy is just riding it out for now. Shermann eventually gives up the hold. Shermann seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shermann slips a nice elbow through Big Guy's hands, connecting with Big Guy's forehead. Big Guy looking for submissions off his back. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Shermann connects with a nice short shot to Big Guy's temple.
Big Guy is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Shermann lands strikes from half guard. Oh Big Guy is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Shermann is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Big Guy is hurt! He's hurt bad - Shermann fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Big Guy from any more punishment! Congratulations to Shermann! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Harold Shermann!
