Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jacoby Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cheddar Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Cheddar Bob!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob leaves Anderson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bob swings for the body but Anderson moves out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Bob. No joy for Anderson on that attempt.
Anderson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jacoby Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bob throws a series of punches but Anderson avoids them all with ease.
Anderson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Anderson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A combination from Bob does no damage.
Anderson looks to land a left hand but Bob moved out of range nicely.
Bob cracks Anderson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anderson tries to counter by clinching up but Bob breaks away and moves out of range.
Bob lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Bob jabs Anderson right on the nose. Anderson blinks but takes it well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bob misses with the combination.
Anderson appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Anderson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Anderson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

and Anderson counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Bob!
Bob wants to get back to his feet but Anderson is dominant here and he's now got Bob's back!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bob is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Anderson.

Anderson is persistently looking for the submission but Bob is defending it well.

Bob staying busy and making it hard for Anderson to control.
Anderson scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bob turns into Anderson and is now in his guard.

Anderson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Anderson seems keen to control Bob's posture.
Bob throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Anderson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Anderson has his hands on Bob's head, controlling the position.
Bob postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Anderson trying to keep a closed guard but Bob is proving a slippery customer.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bob accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bob lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Bob is looking to advance position but Anderson has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Bob wants to hold on but Anderson pushes him away.

Bob tries to reverse the position but Anderson maintains control.

Bob is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position.

Bob holds on for dear life, controlling Anderson's posture momentarily.

Anderson lands a heavy elbow.
Bob is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob misses with a hook. Anderson ducked under it nicely.
Anderson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bob.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
No luck for Anderson with that takedown attempt.
Bob stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bob wants it to stay on the feet.

Bob tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Anderson avoids it.

Anderson is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Bob presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Bob wants to stall.
Bob gets through Anderson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Anderson drags the fight down to the ground.
Bob throwing strikes from guard but Anderson blocks nicely.
Bob wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving.

Anderson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bob defends it easily.
Bob throws a big elbow that misses.

Anderson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Bob doesn't defend quickly enough and Anderson has managed to lock this one up! Can Bob escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Anderson on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jacoby Anderson!
