Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clay Skinner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe McGilvray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe McGilvray will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Clay Skinner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe McGilvray! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Chris Dean and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skinner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McGilvray's waist but McGilvray gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Skinner off to one side. McGilvray forces Skinner back against the cage and clinches. Skinner wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. McGilvray breaks from the clinch.
Skinner just misses with a punch to the body.
As Skinner backs off McGilvray throws a huge counter combo but Skinner manages to avoid it all. McGilvray takes the fight into the clinch. McGilvray lands with a short punch from the clinch.
It looks like Clay Skinner has been cut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McGilvray gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Skinner regains guard.
Skinner could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. McGilvray looking to sit in guard and control but Skinner gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. McGilvray trying to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Skinner not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. McGilvray looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Skinner puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Skinner throwing shots but McGilvray is blocking nicely. Skinner missing with the ground and pound from half guard. McGilvray wants to get back to full guard. Skinner escapes and gets back to his feet. McGilvray lands with a shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Skinner goes for a double leg but McGilvray avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McGilvray continues to drive forward. Joe McGilvray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McGilvray pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Skinner attempts a counter takedown but McGilvray avoids it well and moves away. McGilvray looks winded! McGilvray misses with a head kick.

McGilvray wants to get up but he can't break Skinner's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. McGilvray sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Skinner doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! McGilvray paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Skinner - great work!
