Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carter Avila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Stephens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carter Avila! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Samuel Stephens! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Stephens is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Avila pulls him back up using the underhooks. Avila wants a takedown but no success here.
Avila manages to break the clinch.
Stephens fails to land the takedown. Avila throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Avila tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stephens paws at him with a jab and circles away. Stephens with the counter takedown but Avila avoids it easily. Stephens darts in looking for a takedown but Avila gets double underhooks and turns Stephens into the cage. Carter Avila has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Stephens. Stephens shoots in but Avila avoids the takedown attempt easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stephens throws a right and a left that Avila avoids nicely. Avila throws a low kick but Stephens moves out of range easily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Stephens.

He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Avila has Stephens pulled in close to control his posture. Avila tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stephens tries to free his leg and advance position but Avila is retaining full guard. Avila throws his legs up looking for a submission but Stephens uses it to pass to side control.
Stephens decides to stand back up. Stephens steps back and let's Avila get back to his feet. Avila looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Avila misses with a takedown attempt and Stephens counters with a one-two to the body. A head kick misses from Stephens. No luck with that takedown attempt from Stephens. Stephens tries to clinch up but Avila circles away and keeps his distance. Avila throws a quick counter head kick but Stephens was just out of range. Stephens throws a series of punches but Avila avoids them all with ease.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Avila fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stephens avoids it really well and circles away. Stephens looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Avila is fending him off so far but Stephens persists. Nope, Avila circles away and we're back to standing. Stephens darts in looking for a takedown but Avila gets double underhooks and turns Stephens into the cage. Avila fails with a takedown attempt. Avila tries for a takedown but Stephens sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A head kick misses from Stephens. Stephens misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stephens lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Avila throws a body kick that misses. Stephens has his takedown stuffed and Avila counters with a straight right hand. Stephens tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Avila defends well and Stephens ends up having to push Avila into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Nice takedown defense from Avila. No joy for Stephens on that attempt. Avila is looking to counter with head kicks. Stephens looks winded! Nice straight punches there by Avila. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Avila. Stephens throws a head kick but Avila moves out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Avila fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Avila dives in for a single leg takedown but Stephens sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Carter Avila will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Avila seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Avila takes the fight into the clinch. The referee is keeping an eye on Avila - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Stephens throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Avila works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Avila has control of Stephens's left arm, preventing Stephens from doing any damage. Avila looking to control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Avila is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stephens wants to clinch up but Avila keeps it at a distance. Avila tries to land a front kick but Stephens steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Avila gets a clinch. Avila is defending well against a takedown attempt. Avila breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Samuel Stephens has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Carter Avila is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Stephens throwing strikes but missing.
And that's the end of the fight! Carter Avila showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Avila, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
