Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andy Davis!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis scores with a one two! Diaz had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Davis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Diaz as he avoids it easily.
Diaz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Davis circles away.
Davis looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A punch combination from Diaz misses.
Davis misses with a low kick.
Davis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Diaz.
Diaz shoots in for a takedown but Davis shows good takedown defense.
Diaz has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Diaz there as he acknowledges the shot.

Davis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Diaz tries to avoid it but Davis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Diaz to the ground. Diaz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Davis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Diaz but Diaz pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Diaz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Davis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Diaz somewhat.
Davis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Diaz but Diaz pushes him off and we're back to square one.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch but Davis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Diaz lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Diaz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Davis defends it nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Davis closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Diaz to the mat! Diaz manages to get full guard.
Davis wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Diaz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jimmy Diaz will probably get the nod.

I would just about give that final round to Andy Davis.
