Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyler Barnett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stan Griffin!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, David Schapiro and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnett has taken the fight to the clinch.
Griffin gets through Barnett's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Barnett jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Griffin walks away with a smile on his face. Barnett gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Barnett could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Barnett is defended easily by Griffin.
Barnett has Griffin up against the cage in a clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A short body shot lands from Griffin as the two fighters clinch.
Griffin looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Griffin will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Barnett up against the cage.

Griffin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Barnett moves forwards but Griffin connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Griffin scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Griffin lands a big uppercut and Barnett crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Barnett looks OK. Griffin waves Barnett back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Griffin ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Barnett out cold! The fight is over!
